Who is looking forward to the 2nd edition of the game?

Like I said, what happens on Solaris VII stays on Solaris VII.

The main point, though, is that Alpha Strike is FUN. It actually looks and feels like the major battles in the actual Battletech universe; basic Battletech always had a disconnect between SAYING that major battles involved 36 units or more on a side, and the SYSTEM falling apart if you tried to do more than 4-8.

X-Wing makes sense in scale and fluff, and the core mechanic of the game is SOLID. Where it's starting to fail is power creep. It's looking more and more like Attack Wing every day...
