Ran this list at a small tournament this weekend. Went 4-0 without losing a ship in the last 3 matches. I have always liked Jess, but I totally underestimated her ability. She was even better than I expected. Whenever she was targeted first, she tanked shots like a champ and my opponents regretted targeting her after they saw her consistently get 2 evades.
I found the A-wing's speed and dial allowed them to get back into range 1 with Jess even after the first engagement. Snap Shot + Juke/Crack helps with aces, but I do think the list will still struggle against Mindlink, which is a big issue.
I wanted M9-G8 to go along with Snap Shot, and Tarn is great with it. He struggles due to being in an X-wing still, but I actually really like him here. Also... He is PS 3, and I really like having all my ships at the same PS if possible. I'm not a great pilot, so being able to move the ships in any order helps mitigate that a bit.
So since I'm considering taking this to some store championships after a good initial showing, any thoughts on ways to improve the list? I could go double juke on the awings, but the 1 point initiative bid gives me a chance to take initiative against x7 Defenders and other lists with PS 3 ships so Snap Shot is more effective in those scenarios. Not certain thrusters is necessary on the Awings either, and I could switch out Tarn if I'm convinced there is a super worthwhile alternative at a similar price.
