What's the best Mod for Omega Leader?

By devotedknight, in X-Wing

I'm running an Omega Leader, with Swam Leader. Accompanying him is two APs. What would be a the best Mod for him? What about the tech slot.

Would running Carnor Jax be a good idea or redundant?

If you were playing IMPs, what would you do with 18 points.

Thanx.

Omega Leader + Juke + Comm Relay

Cannot cut it any better way......?

If you have the points, Hull/Shield is worth it too.

Stealth may be nice, but other ships in the list could break it beforehand. Depends on how you want to fly her I suppose.

Stealth is normally better, but the prevalence of bombs makes Hull/Shield better.

Comm Relay (he especially needs defense in that build, though I think there are better options for Swarm Leader that sure is interesting on him), then Hull.

Carnor Jax would help your APs do damage, but your list is agility heavy, so I would find a ship that has some additional health: defender or /Sf.

18 points is not ideal for Imperials (anymore). I might go with Wampa and then look to spend the other points on upgrades. Alternatively Scourge or maybe try a bomber shuttle with tactician. Howlrunner is 18 points and provides another distraction for your opponent.

But FFG thinks Imperials should not be allowed to play, as punishment for all the arc dodgers on the forums calling for nerfs against Fat Han and turrets. So Imperials you can enjoy your absence from the top cut. People think this might make you too overpowered but truth be, we just don't like oppressive Imperials and they should not be allowed to play until their Imperial Privilege is erased.

I'm trying to get a good Alpha strike using the Swarm Leader. While trying to build something unique and untried.

Use Zeta Leader then. Take a stress to add one to your attack.

Juke/Comm is nonnegotiable.

TIE Mk2 or Stealth Device or nothing is my usual set of options, but Hull/Shield is OKish if you're expecting a LOT of bombs.

You could try the Omega Ace swarm, get all them crits. Not super helpful as an alpha strike, but it's fun to drop 5 faceup cards on someone once their shields are gone.

This

....and Imperial Privilege was always a strawman anyway.

This! Omega Ace is super fun with Swarm Leader.

Is Vessery a Mod?

A cheap version when you don't have the 5 points for Juke and Comm Relay is to slap A Score To Settle in the EPT slot for 0 points. Now you can target lock the chosen ship and get your focus -》crit, while they are denied it because of your ability.
