Instead of my traditional double MC30, I want to try something different.

I just thought about a similar list while I wrote my post in the other thread about Liberty. You really need to have another serious threat in your fleet to divert attention form your Liberty to make it work.

That or force them to head to an objective.

What you are thinking of in the military works is called a Hammer and Anvil.

It is a simple tactic that uses one part of your force as an Anvil, taking the attention of the opponent and the Hammer comes in to strike crushing the opposing forces between the two.

I'd be wary of running it sans squadron screen. Rhymer can easily side-step that stiff forward shield, and swarms of Rebel bombers won't have too too much trouble catching it since it is only Speed 3. Precision Strike synergizes with Dodonna well, but the Liberty will give away a ton of points once a shield fails. Adding XX-9 to double down on XI7 for MK will help you make the objective work as well. ICB is also fine, but SW-7 might also work well.

As for your weapon suggestions, it's more points.

This works almost the same as my other squadronless builds for DtO. A little less aggressive but a bit more brutal I think.

And that's reasonable. Most of my experience with Liberty is either killing it singly or the pair Scharnhorst and Gneisenau which lean on XX-9/XI7 to deal effective damage.

Sure but it does not cover Dodonna the Oppressor's Liberty or Death though I could just shift it to Death or Liberty

I was not around for this Classic Ben stuff so I don't really get the significance. Regardless, Maine is nice but I do enjoy crit control.

I was just throwing some humor around. The world needs more smiles.

Hopefully I will get a game with this list on Friday... We shall see.

List worked. I took on a Rieekan Pelta, Yavaris, 3 Flotillas list that had Biggs, 3 X-Wings, 2 VCX's, Jan, Gold, Dagger. Rieekan's flag has Ashoka and Comms and the other two flotillas are BCC's. His Pelta had the Squadron fleet card, Engine Techs, Flight Commander and RLB's. Yavaris had Adar Tallon.

I lost the murder boat and Dodonna but we were playing precision strike and the Liberty did its job flanking and catching the Flotillas in medium.

The MC30 got injured crew and he was able to flip it to kill my evades... Stupid luck.

In the end I tabled all the ships (go go Liberty) and had 12 tokens to his 9. I lost 173 meaning I had a 275 victory. Not sure what that is anymore
