While everyone is waiting for Worlds to begin, perhaps you'll have some time to watch some of the matches we featured at our recent Canadian X-Wing convention - the PTL Open. A 2-day event with a special format main tournament as well as some great side events. Here's Round 1 of 6, we will be uploading these videos once every two days until the finals:
The format of the main event: Each player had to bring 3 different 100-point lists to the tournament. At the start of each round, each player would secretly choose one of their lists to fly against their opponent. Players were encouraged to fly all 3 of their lists at least once during swiss by awarding tournament points for doing so.
The benefit of this format was that we got to see some great, unconventional lists flown by some top-level players!
