It really does match my expectations of what an interior sector might look like! Great stuff. Oh, and more please

If I should make one suggestion for further improvement, it would be that it seems a little ... dead. I picture Hives as teeming with life and activity. People everywhere, working, preaching, performing mindless repetitive tasks, etc etc.

I see a few hover vehicles in the distance, but I'd imagine there to be much more.

I've always wanted to see some good conceptions of what the inside of a hive looks like as there seems to be no official art on the subject. I have to say, it looks like you nailed it! At first glance I thought it looked a bit to spacious for a hive interior, what with that big open space and all. However, a hive could have many of those halls for a variety of reasons: accessibility of aircraft, structural collapse, filled in areas between spires, etc.

All in all, it looks great

Thanks a lot for the kind words it's also nice to see that we have a common idea of how these places should look like. Of course, as numb3rc mention, these large and spacious halls are not something that you will see all over the Hive...I imagined that it could be compared to a real-world city with parks and squares.

Darth Smeg (sorry for the misspell earlier) I have added some vehicles and some people to give it some more life...I think you where right - it works better that way.

Polaria: I have rendered it in high resolution and made it available as wallpaper.

Also, if anyone could throw a quick comment about the pdf-linedrawings I make - are they worth the effort? Is it something that 's acutally being used and should it be done different?

I think the PDF line-drawings are great, Krauze, I say stick with them.

On a note unrelated to this particular image, are you going to create Rogue Trader-compatible rules for the ships on your (excellent) site?

I will use them for sure. In fact, I strive to build up my skills with VUE so I hope that one day I will be able to create similiar usable (if never ever as superior) input for the community as you do...and ****** some of the glory you get covered with ...and rightly so!

I have consistently used the images of Hive Sibellus on your site to describe how a hive city looks, they are, imo the best, most instructive images I can find. My players are quite unfamiliar with 40k in general they these images have greatly increased their understanding and ability to visualise a hive city.
