Keep the Peace - EWing Guards

By ImperialOfficer, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

So I have a question about the ability for the EWing Guards, called Keep the Peace.

The ability says:

Keep the Peace: When a hostile figure declares an attack targeting a space adjacent to you, if that space does not contain a friendly Guardian, you may suffer 1 . If you do, the attacker suffers 1 . Limit 1 'Keep the Peace' ability used per attack.

The limit once per attack, is that per figure? or once for the entire Unit?

Example: You have three Wing Guards directly behind your Bantha. They attack the Bantha, which is adjacent to you, and not a guardian.

Can you use Keep the Peace for all three wing guards? so 1 stress on each and 3 stress to the attacker? Or is only one of the wing guards allowed to use the ability?

thanks,

You can only resolve one Keep the Peace ability (from a single Wing Guard) per attack.

The same limitation as with Sentinel and Protector.

And since you used the Bantha as an example, unless you have a wingguard covering every square of the bantha, they can almost certainly shoot a space where you can't even use the ability.

You must be adjacent to the space being targeted, not the figure.

When I started looking at it closer, that finally registered. At first, I wasn't thinking that it would matter. Not as good as what I originally thought for sure.

Being adjacent to a space matters for a) large figures, b) blocking terrain - a blocking terrain space is not adjacent to any space or figure - and vice versa.

The ability should actually read "target space" or at least "targeted space", because attacks never target spaces, attack always target figures. For small figures the space the figure occupies becomes the target space, for large figures attacker's choice, but you are still targeting the figure and not the space.
