Saturday July 22nd - Empire Games - Anderson SC

All caught up again.

Thanks to those gathering the info. It's an impressive list of tournaments.

It's a bit last minute to post here but we have a tournament coming up at dark side comics in Chesterfield MO at 4 pm this saturday. 5 dollar entry with some prize support. I'm running it, my goal is to have 1 / month, first saturday of the month.

@shmitty,

Borderlands in Salem, OR will have their SC on the 10th of this month. See the pinned post on our FB group.

I am very disappointed in Boston not scheduling their store championship in a reasonable amount of time. I've had to go and buy a plane ticket to visit my sister, when if they'd already scheduled their tournament I might have been able to plan the trip around that tournament! For shame!

Whoops, sorry July 15th.

Game Kastle Santa Clara had theirs today. Forum attendees were Mythic, Cactusman, ItzSteve, Norsehound & myself, as well as 3 others who are not on the forum, I think.

Cool. How did it go?

I think everyone had fun, mostly. We had a fairly wide variety of lists: 2 MC30 lists, 2 MC80 lists, Devastator-smash, Konstantine Speed-shenanigans, a wolf-pack of Gladiators, and one list that I didn't get a good look at.

Definitely add it to the data if you can.

Devastator missed first place because @itzSteve apparently can't be bothered to shoot at a helpless enemy general in an unarmed flotilla :D

For real though, great job Steve and thanks to @mythics and Game Kastle for running an excellent event. Looking forward to try for a better score at their Fremont location next week.

still missing some upgrades on two of the lists, but at least ships & squads are in for all lists.

ARRRGG!!! What a disappointing ending to what was a great day through 2 rounds. Madine's Rebel Commandos flew fast and aggressive all day long, and then when everything was at stake in the last game, I flew my fleet like a timid little kid. Oh well, it's all part of the learning curve I guess. On to next weeks store championship in Fremont. Thanks again to @mythics for running a great tourney and also for putting out very interesting fleet builds when he puts away his monster list that shall not be named...

Thank you to everyone that attended. 7 hours from pairings to done is not bad at all.

In your defense Steve if you went with your aggressive line I did have 7 rogues and 2 scout mc30's waiting for you to activate into my waiting arms.

I have been thinking about what if I had deployed my Liberty on its own far right and took out the flotillas to take away the activations. Where would you have deployed your rogues then?

Probably would have put the rogues to kill the liberty and rieeken would have been with the mc30 instead.

But you had already deployed all your ships due to fighter ambush. I still had Admo and the Liberty to deploy. If I kept Admo with the flotillas and put the Liberty out far right to go after the 3 flotillas, would you have deployed the rogues to go after the Lib? Also, the 2 mc30's in the middle...would you have turned them towards the Lib or gone after Admo and my 3 flotillas? These are things I have been pondering in the aftermath of my destruction...LOL. :D

Killed the lib most likely. The rogues could have been on the lib from turn 1. The floats would have split up. One on the left board, one huddling in my lower corner and rieeken running right to hide on the station. The risk of leaving the liberty alone is the potential of fighter ambush on him + it being 160 points total 295 potential points. The lib would be dead on turn 3 with average rolls and then it's 3 turns of my mc's swinging around to engage whatever and the rogues plinking at some other target.

Just inquired with the Village Geek in McPherson Kansas about their tentative Store Championship date. It is not going to occur on June 17th. Someone must have gotten things mixed up. Was told it will occur in August and to watch their FB page for an announcement.

Anyone reach out to the other Kansas City stores that are listed for Store championships?
