I just wanted you guys to know (in case you don't check that section of the forum), that Veet just made a so so so so so awesome aquatic herald. It's on page 32 of the Custom Heralds thread in Fan Creations. It's called Basatan and will make you fear the water once again :'D
An awesome aquatic herald.
With all due respect to all makers of custom heralds, Ancient Ones and what have you, I have zero interest in them. I don't like printing any game components myself, and until someone starts mailing their custom-made stuff printed on cardboard, I'm never going to be interested in them. Sorry.
That said, I think it would be great if FFG held a "Design Your Own Herald" competition and printed the best submission(s) with the next expansion, which I hope will be full of heralds anyway (The Dark Pharaoh and The Dunwich Horror included). I would so buy it.

I would agree with the first part if you were talking about cards or components or other elements that were handled and moved in the game, but this is a Herald sheet... it's a reference... you print it out and look at it. The quality or thickness of the paper is irrelevant, really. I have no problem at all using something like that if the idea is cool. That being said, I totally agree with the idea of a contest for Heralds, with official printings for the best of them.
I like! Constant flooding...need more Aquatic tokens...Eihort's 48 Brood Tokens have been SO USEFUL for custom stuff! This makes Silas a bit more fun to play when not playing Innsmouth. Outstanding way to liven up Kingsport!

Heh... Play Kingsport and Innsmouth as the only expansion boards. Have nightmares :')

Slightly edited so it describes my thoughts on home-brews. Except I wouldn't be interested even if it came printed on cardboard. If it ain't official, I'm not using it.
