Having an MC30 that can shrug off 2 or 3 face downs is a biggie. RBDs on these, in combo with Mothma, Admo/Forderlin makes them solid.

aright, just sacrificed 1 A-Wing to get RBDs on both MC30s

dang... all upgrade slots are used... on both mc30s. That's a first for me.

Or, rolled 6 damages with 1 double, 4 normal hits. Evades to 3, Dderlin to 2.

I think the focus is basically on Major Derlin + Something that reduces damage prior to his ability activating. 6 damage with Derlin alone reduces the final damage by 1/6th, whereas applying brace or foresight's evade can result in Derlin reducing damage by 1/3rd or more instead (6 braced to 3, then reduced to 2). End result, you want derlin doing his thing when there are low amounts of damage getting through.
