They've gotta put the focus on the prettier aspects of the setting. Too much Crab and it won't stand out as much.

Lack of Crab on the box was probably why we got so much pretty Crab artwork in the first few spoilers.
I like how the Scorpion's mask has pincers on her cheeks. Not really sure how it's staying in place though.
Well, of the two Phoenix I've seen art of so far both are excellent...

Also, note the Scorpion tail on her comb, further back.
I just don`t get why the Scorpion is the center of the box art when it should clearly by the Phoenix shugenja.....

Back on topic, I'm rather happy that in this Rokugan, the people so far seem to understand how to properly wear their kimonos when out in public.

What makes you think that? The picture does not make me think that. Reminds me of Daoko , which may or may not be sporting one. But everytime I see that pic, reminds me of her.
