Ships we have seen in FFG art but don't have
Whenever this comes back, I default to "Apparently, people said Slaved Turrets was a DP20."
And of course, the seminal X-Wing Alt Art Predator Holy Grail:

DP20 is what it looks like to me.
Well I guess there really is nothing new under the sun.
I'm still curious if anyone's found anything interesting.
Well, these have made there way from the RPGs into X-wing already, but the Tie Agressor, Tie Punisher/Interdictor, Tie Striker and the Tie Advanced Prototype are possibile choices for an Imperial Squadrons III, and the G1-A is also a possibility to add in the last of the ESB Bounty Hunters. Rebels could get the U-wing, Auzituck, and K-wing, but I'm not sure we've seen a fourth squadron that would fit them yet.
No new squadrons for now k thxs bye

Given development speed, Imp/Rebel Squadrons 3 is a Wave VII or VIII release, so anywhere from a Christmas release to longer. I wouldn't worry too much about them showing up anytime soon.

When have we ever gotten a movie tie in release?

I'm convinced they only exist for X-Wing.
We'd have gotten one with the battle of Scarif, after all, if we were going to.

I wasn't saying Wave 7 would be a movie tie-in. December is just the absolute earliest I would expect Wave VII, given the expectation that wave VI will hit within the next two months.
Granted, that's optimistic, but Wave 6 has been much swifter than previous waves, so I wouldn't call it blind optimism.
Edited by SquarkAnd honestly....
I'm of the position that FFG is "Cool Art for Cool Art's Sake".
They don't hide things, they don't make promises for the future...
- The fact that the Alt Art Turbolaser Reroutes shows a Ship that can't equip them doesn't mean they'll be able to equip them later....
They're just pushing some cool art.

It's generally been pretty reliable for x-wing- The Scyk showed up in wave 6 after appearing in the art for Wave V's intimidation, the Punisher was released not long after it appeared in a sourcebook for Age of Rebellion. On the other hand, the Tie Aggressor only showed up once they started scraping the bottom of the barrel for "Small Imperial Ships that have solar pannels," despite appearing in a LCG card about the time X-wing wave VII was released, so it's not a guarantee.
I mean... if we really wanna push it... the fighter pack 2 art had a Venator class on it...
we can dream....

It would be nice if the art did predict future ships as Entrapment Formation! and Shields to Maximum! both feature a Super Star Destroyer.

I have been examining Armada from a thematic perspective. The Core Set and Waves 1 and 2 contained a mix of both Canon and Legends ships. However, since Wave 3, the ships that have been released have all been exclusively Canon. If that trend continues, then the SSD should appear in the future along with other Canon ships (Rebels, Rogue One) we have yet to see.

Not necessarily... Z-95s (in this configuration), E-Wings, and the MC-30 are not cannon as far as I know.
While I wish we could see plenty of Legends-content era craft, I think that decision lies with LFL licensing. Ships that you can see on screen have that immediate connection over legends-era ships that are only visible in old sources that, to borrow an I.T. term, are no longer supported. The VSD and GSD squeaked in before an explosion of new content gave us new spaceships and elevated others higher on the priority track (like the Quasar).
I'm still waiting for the poor Victory to return to prominence. It's only been name-dropped in Tarkin so far. The Strikefast, originally a VSD, was changed into a Venator Star Destroyer in Thrawn's "origin" story. If LFL is replacing VSDs with Venators, what does that say for the future of the ship?

Disney employees play too much armada and think the victory is terrible so will recon it out of existence to get a new better ship?
I may be the only one, but personally I wouldn't mind if FFG themselves designed another thus far unheard of ship or two to fill the gaps that movies leave as far as ship classes go.
Since the Star Wars movies (and books) are a relatively "Zoomed In" perspective from a story standpoint, large starship battles are typically the backdrop and playing second fiddle to the actions of the individual heroes and villians going on often simultaneously.
Rather than compelling the Star Wars movie and book team to flush out both the microcosm and macrocosm of the Star Wars universe I think FFG would be an awesome source of material such as space ship designs, roles, and function.
Proof of concept is the Raider. FFG designed it, and now it is entering full canon because it fulfills a niche and is a much more attractive option over some of the pre-existing ships in the universe that accomplish relatively the same task but lack the character of the Raider that makes it instantly recognizable as Star Wars.

It'd be awesome to see those old Seperatist ships as Rebels.

The current ships from Legends material include the AFII, the MC30C, and the Gladiator. The Victory and Raider were considered Legends ships until they appeared in the New Canon. All five ships were released prior to Wave 3.
FFG has been approaching squadrons differently. The current Imperial Squadron count stands at 33. 17 derive from Canon, 14 from Legends, and 2 were created by FFG. The Rebellion count also stands at 33. 24 are Canon, while 9 are from Legends. There is no specific trend regarding releases favoring Canon. Squadrons from Legends have appeared in every squadron release and the two created by FFG appear in Wave 5 and the CC Campaign, "Whisper" and Tempest Squadron, respectively. Basically, I think FFG is choosing squadrons based on what they think is needed, but I would anticipate more releases from Legends (crossover from X-Wing), Canon squadrons such as Red Squadron and Blue Squadron from Rogue One, and FFG in-house creation to fill in the gaps.

Also Rapid Reload, and I'm like 65% sure there's at least one more.

FFG's games are not an indicator of what is canon or not. Otherwise, the presence of the VSD, Gladiator, et all is considered canon. Sure, FFG gave us things like the MC-40a and Assault Gunboat for the RPG, but the point is we want them rendered in plastic to push around on the table and play with.
There's a small ray of hope with the (dismal) TIE Aggressor being published in X-Wing. As far as I know that (should have) stayed in Star Wars Galaxies, along with the VT Decimator and Scurrg, but here they are.
