I know some people feel very strongly about"nerf X" threads cluttering up their page, but let's be honest, all their complaint threads do is clog up the list even more.

At least the nerf threads have an opportunity to reveal actual flaws in the game design, even if it is only like a 25% hit ratio. The complaining about nerfs threads do absolutely nothing for our community, and are almost immediately filled with trolls.

P.S. Yes I am aware that there is some irony in this post, but I think the double negative makes it not irony again... maybe?

P.S.S. Long live the gunboat thread. (and Rebels can come too.)

Haha, if someone can tell me that the Gun Boat is still missing from X-Wing when I only asked the time of day. I can still dislike Nerf Threads.

Actually I think, on this forum, the Nerf and Fix thread have become the main stay and has soured the discussion here a bit. Not that X-Wing can't be played casually and, I'm sure, often is. But these constant threads have pushed some of the things that make X-Wing fun aside to make from for more Neft and Fix thread.

P.S. It wouldn't be terrible if we never got the Gun Boat in X-Wing. We have some pretty awesome ships now. I know every one has their favorite, Prequel, Gun Boat, etc. but you can't please everyone. Me? I'd rather play the Punisher that get another ship with another mechanic, with another fix in the FAQ.

At least gunboat is mostly contained in a single thread. If the complaints about all the nerf/fix threads kept themselves in one thread, and just posted to others, I would be happy to withdraw my complaint thread about their complaints.

second: I apparently have a rare and unknown skill. Presumedly honed from well over 20 years of teaching war games, hanging out on DakkaDakka, and trips to the Middle East with NGOs... if I see a forum topic I don't like... I don't click on it.
