I think the tye wing is a cool ship. Lots of people say its junk but i'm a mechanic myself & i've rebuilt a few cars. Seems to me the tye wing is like removing a couple 4cyl. Motors & strapping on a couple rolls royce V12's on a tiny body. Few professional technicians can build a heck of a custom car. Why not in the star wars world too. Just seems the tye-wing would be better & stronger fighter than being said to be.

Oh christ almighty no. The uglies were the dumbest thing I've ever seen. There was nearly no actual understanding of how engines or other components would be used between two ships... just literal cut-and-pastes.

The main problem people seem to have with the tye wing is that it is more like pulling out the gas tank and replacing it with 2 high performance tires.

Your taking off what most consider to be the power plant, the solar panels, and replacing them with a redundant set of engines, leaving it with both the twin ion engines AND the y-wing engines but no power source to fuel them.

I do agree though that it is probably the best looking of the uglies.

Thanks for your comments. Me i do want some uglies especially the tye-wing & death seed.....too cool ......but not as junky old garbage but alternative fighters. Sure they were built by welding parts together but so is everything else.
