In the mission "Gunrunner" (Bossk's Mission), the rules say that Imperial figures cannot be optionally deployed within 2 spaces of a Rebel figure. Does this mean that you can't choose to deploy to a green deployment point if that would require you to deploy to a space within 2 spaces of a rebel figure? Or could you choose a point that is within 2 spaces of a Rebel figure, then just deploy to the closest valid space near that point?

Also, how does this effect large figures? Can they not be deployed if any of their spaces are within 2 spaces of a rebel figure? Or just the one space that you technically deployed them to?

You choose an active deployment point and then place the figure as close to that deployment point as possible.

If terrain or a rebel figure prevent deploying into a space, that is not a valid space and is discounted in the "as close as possible" consideration.

During placement the distance between the deployment point and the placed figure determines if it was placed as close as possible. If no other valid placement gives a smaller distance between the figure and the specified deployment point, the placement fulfills the as-close-as-possible requirement.
