Its exactly the same as the DS2 mat they did - They pick a General Mat, add the World Champion Brand and... Boom. One of a Kind

But I am fine with my red/green ones. Silver is nice, but its far far far from necessary. They get used for 2 minutes at the beginning of the game. Would rather have had pretty much any other acrylic piece. Or at least include the turn token as well like before. Just seems like a downgrade from what I have currently.

I know a lot of people who use them to mark squadron and ship locations if they need to pick them up to flat-place a maneuver tool, for example.

Ok fine Dras, you have wore me down. My excitement over everything else is large enough that my initial disappointment over potentially getting a redundant acrylic is minimized.

Wait... You're right! I forgot about that part.

I honestly like the swag, but I'm not dying to have it all or anything. I think my comment was on the lack of me traveling to Worlds. I get beat up enough at the regional levels to think about spending money to get trounced by even more elite players.

they should really sell those range and distance tools... 3rd party suppliers just can't provide accurate stuff.
