Looks like they potentially start May 13th and run through the summer.

I think it is up to the individual shops to set their dates.

The real question: does the community want to help me collect data from these like the we do for the regionals?

Yes, its up to stores to set their dates within the time frame - as any store in good standing can order and run a store Championships. Its more you need to know when your Distributor is going to send you the goods :D

I think if there's any time you're going to take a break from Data collection, Shmitty, Store Champs might be a good time... It could be interesting to see all the little local metas here and there - but unless you live in a place like Portland, you're not getting a lot of the cross-and-carry-over-mixed-metas as you see with Regionals.

If you're willing to go through it, go through it, I'd surely send you Sentry Box Calgary... But I don't know if its as needed as Regionals is.

There's also an ass-ton more of them to keep track of, too.

... still waiting on Store Champ Kit info. Its supposed to have Worlds Cards in them for Stream Events, and it looks like we're going to miss out on timing for that... Which is a shame, I had a big-screen ready to be booked.

Yeah, but one of the things I've been wanting to start tracking is % of points spent on Admiral, Ships, Squadrons, and Upgrades. This would be my chance to test that out.

But I would likely simplfy things a bit. Given that there are more/smaller tournaments, maybe just track the All, Top4, and Winner categories.

If you're keen and interested - first and foremost - do it. Simple as that, man. If anyone's deriving important data from these - its only through your work that enables it :D

Like I said, I can support where I can, but can't do much else :D

@Snipafist and I can get you a lot of the Chicago tournament details if you want them. Not sure Admiral points are worth detailing, though, IMO, as that's largely dependent on meta and what people wanted to bring that day.

Yeah there are 4 of these things going on in our backyard and 5 if you count Chicagoland Games (better known as Dice Dojo), although commute in and parking are always a bear.

Not saying I can actually GO to all of these, mind you, but holy crap. Chicagoland is blowing it up with Armada lately.

We'll find the time, I can pretend not to have a life for 3 months! Just gotta pick one list and get super good with it, that's all! COMPLETELY doable, list ADD be darned!

No way, every tournament needs to be a different fleet. If I am in town for them and able to go I will hit 5-6 this summer. Different fleet for each one.

Wow, it completely slipped by me that these were being applied for this season. Thankfully, my store was on the ball without me having to prompt them.

Still, there are some surprising omissions from our local list of store. I suppose we (the community) could have been on them, but since I wasn't aware, I'm sure others were also oblivious.

Anyway, it should be fun!

Stores might have missed the deadlines - they were more open previously, this time, you only had a Month to Pre-Order the kit, (11-Nov to 13-Dec)

I think there should be a disclaimer on the data that conclusions should not be drawn from it. I know I'll be running something weird if I go to one. I'm there to play and have fun, not WAAC.

I'd hate to see another 5 threads about flotillas because some guy took [insert arbitrary number] and won a SC.

I think it would be a good testing ground for the next documentation for regionals though. Try out some new data collection and summary for what people want to know.

I can get the Madison, WI results and fleets. I can guarantee at least three other local guys would help with getting the data even if the TO wasn't game.

Currently trying to figure out how many Store Championships I can crash while visiting family members / friends from out of town.

Edit: I've made a spreadsheet! Sadly nothing anywhere near West Palm Beach, FL. Gonna have to put off visiting my Mom.

I've also seen sneak peeks of the Destiny cards. Also going to start pestering stores about dates...

I should be able hit every single one in Minnesota and a hand full in WI with Church
