Constant nerfing of cards, tournaments revolting around few metalists, all tho nerfing is helping breaking the meta, Uboats are gone fro good, Palp Aces gone and so on. I would like people to get creative with X-Wing lists in tournaments, I am so excited when I see new creative lists on Youtube channels where I watch often tournaments and fun games. My favorite setting is casual games because there is no wrong lists ever, I like to go to tournaments with different list, I almost won tournament with five Kihrax fighter, also had Bossk using Expert Handling, it worked well forr repostioning him and K4 Security droid giving re-rolls. Okay, got bit of the topic, but it's what it is
Unfun X-Wing Things:
ships that cant boost or barrel roll
playing against turrets
playing with turrets
not being able to trust words on cards
only having 2 attack dice
only having 1 attack dice
Moldy Crow dial
Moldy Crow being a "support" ship
Moldy Crow being a "turret" ship
Imperial Crew Members
Breaking off pegs inside ships

Ahh ok thanks for answer....
Game is crazy fun.
Back when people used to play alot of Ion Turrets - that was NOT fun. Because basically they prevent you from "Playing" the game, and force your ship to just fly off the board when the ion you over and over. Also I don't enjoy playing very tiny games against someone who only has the core set. I"m happy to teach them, but those few times when someone literally only has one X-Wing and wants to play a 25 point game - just isn't exactly fun. I realize it's fun for them because they are learning the game , but when you've got thousands invested in this game you tend to want to fly more than just one ship!

When I started playing x-wing, just over three years ago, I watched your videos to gain knowledge. I recall that the first one contained a rant about how much you hated ion turret y-wings.
hold on to the anger! ?

And to think of how "un-fun" some want to consider the TLT. At least with that you can still do whatever you want and even have a nice, measurable clock to know what you'll be suffering.
Stresshog. I have decided I don't like flying against stresshog. It's not unbeatable or anything, just annoying.
Most unfunny thing for me is people complaining about he meta.

I agree on the Ion thing, be it turrets or cannons. Not even being able to choose a manoeuvre feels awful to the point it's the only truly negative play experience I've had in this game.

I see what you did there.
I hope nobody ever referred to you as human garbage. That's abhorrent.
Now, if someone ever deliberately picked up an opponent's dial to catch a peek and therefore gained an unfair advantage knowing all they'd get is a slap on the wrist - in that case, whatever term you'd like to use for 'pathetic cheater' would suffice...

Most know I'm pretty salty when it comes to X lately, but really the key is the people. Me and them. That is that if you don't want to run into prick players, don't play too high of a level. That or go into it with a fun list and keep the salt to a minimum. The game is a fun game to play, but for me I enjoy it playing casual. Competitive play puts me off. So, I've decided to play only casual now, and bring jank to tournaments and be happy taking home a participation prize :). That being said, as an imp player the following things annoy me:
-->Rebel regen
-->Lists with all turrets - really? it's a frickin jousting game no?
-->Too much dice modifying that doesn't make sense (like not thematic in any way). I could give examples, but why bother? We all know it exists.
-->People who blame the dice. You lost. Give your opponent some credit.
And like I said, still a great game. I still love to play it.

If a parking meter costs a dollar, and parking tickets are only 80 cents, excuse me while I break the law.
Not my fault if the rules are Rollerball tier.

What if the parking meter costs $1, parking tickets are $0.80, but when you choose to ignore the meter and get a ticket, you know they'll also give the next car over a parking ticket?
(This might be too subtle, so I'll "in other words it" ... there are arguments against cheating that go beyond the immediate cost:benefit analysis solely for you.)

This is a competitive game. The fact that it would also punish your opponent would mean it would do double duty.
I've saved myself 20 cents and also cost my opponent an extra 80 cents.
Maybe the rules shouldn't be so dumb. Not a players fault for following them.

Note that I said nothing about an opponent.
Please do everything you can to let me know who you are, in the unlikely event we should end up playing in the same venue. I will do everything I can to avoid playing you, as frankly, you seem to embody everything that is bad about the current state of competition X-Wing.
(And I still think there's a decent chance you're ParaGoomba Slayer, and probably also Helios Whoever ... which is just, like, wow.)

Guys. Wrong thread. My bad for trolling Turbo, but maybe we should add to page 18 on the other thread...

But you are forgetting that the parking ticket goes on a persons record. Now, while that's not a major felony, an employer who is looking for anything to cut down on the many qualified applications might see a build up of parking tickets and use that as a way to get some applications out of the running. The same applies to cheaters in X-Wing. If one cheats regularly, that become part of their reputation, then no one wants to play with them. Heck, store owners might even bar him from playing at their establishments.

I'm not PGS. I'm not Helios De Nappo.
I'm sure PGS finds it funny that his name is used as a weapon to ad hominem others with though.

Yeah, that's true.
Which is why you do it once in a while at big events.
Just now, Turbo Toker said:Which is why you do it once in a while at big events.
That still follows you. Patterns of behavior can be identified, especially if you do it at important moments. As time goes on, the hypothetical player's reputation gets so toxic that they will likely be watched closer by players and judges alike, or barred from play entirely.
18 minutes ago, Turbo Toker said:I'm not PGS. I'm not Helios De Nappo.
But ... you can't admit it if you are, because he's been banned, right? (And because acknowledging a sock-puppet is just, you know, even sadder than having one.) So how can we really know for sure?
QuoteI'm sure PGS finds it funny that his name is used as a weapon to ad hominem others with though.
There's no ad hominem . I'm not discounting your arguments because of your shortcomings. I'm simply discounting your arguments while observing your shortcomings. I know it feels very smart to use phrases like ad hominem , but when you use them incorrectly, it kinda backfires, you know?

I'm sure he would. Which is why he is no longer here.
Edited by Darth MeanieCan't wait for the 2020 Presidential election where Donald Trump calls his opponent a Paragoomba Slayer. Sad!

I've been lucky. On those occasional moments I'm up at the small number tables either playing or watching a friend, my opponents have been great. But often those to either side have been shockingly rude. Sometimes when at the cut tables (like 4-2 system open tables) the fatigue and "do or die" feel to the games can bring out the worst (though my opponents have again, been great).
Other than that, competitive play has been relaxed, fun, and I've really enjoyed it's lack of TFG moments and making friends.
That's not a function of the game, but the community in question. In my community, it seems like the closer you get to the top tables, the nicer the people are.
I love my community.
But, to answer the question:
100/6.
I wish X-Wing had a Corellian Conflict, or a tie-in to the Corellian Conflict.
