I don't like how long it takes for ships to go from spoilers to in my hands.
Timing issues and complex combinations, and setting up the game takes for ever.
Jumpmasters.
I agree @kris40k , but I'm not to salty about the OP ship itself....OK, I am a bit. (But I've started a squad with one so, shhhhhhh) Anyway, but rather I find it curious the designers refuse to admit this obvious blunder. Pride runs deep I guess. They've nerfed practically everything around it from weapons mods and crew to even reducing Manaroo's mind bending abilities as far as its distance, but the real issue --the base ship stats and dial-- remain unscathed. I guess they never released a ship or dial that was so jacked up before, they only mis on an upgrade, crew or modification. Puzzling really.
I think the introduced power creep is what upsets me.
When I got into the game two years ago everyone raved about how balanced it was. With each release, old ships came back to the forefront as the meta changed. Now, the Scum releases (you know who you are) have massively distorted the tourney level so that there is a noticable gap between T1 and the rest and there appears to be no way to fix it without power creeping the rest of the ships or letting the nerf herders go wild. Neither is a healthy option.
It is sad really. It has demotivated me from wanting to invest much more in the game, irrespective of how much I enjoy it. I only play casually but it is not right that I have to avoid certain combos because I know it will make it a one sided game. I was always really buzzed about the idea of going to a Tourney in Europe when I head back but now I´ ll pass as I won´ t see any iconic ships, bar Biggs, just OP lists based on card combos. Sorry, Rebels is a good kids show, but it´ s not iconic yet.
I will get a few TIEs (including Sabine), TIE/FOs and the Rebel Transport when I go back to flesh out my Imperials, First Order and Rebels, but I have no interest in the new Scum stuff, I have the Bounty Hunters and Starvipers with some Zs and Ys. It is enough. If I go down the ¨ chase the power¨ route there is no return, it never ends, so I´ ll leave it there.
I should get many great years of casual games out of my collection. And I am happy with that....

- The players I've encountered at competitive levels are mostly rude, aggressive, and not fun to play games with.
I've literally never experienced this in any of the tournaments I've been to (from store level to system open) - much less it's "mostly" true. I've heard stories but they're the exception by far. It's a shame if this is actually the case.

Yep, probably my biggest complaint.

Doesn't everyone?
Nope. A good game of XWM is fun no matter which side I'm on.
My only complaint about the game is a lack of Star Wars and military-style fluff. I want thematic squadron building to mean more than "I'm using 4 of the same generic."
Rude, I must win at all costs so I play the cheesiest list I can find on the net to stop you. Folks like that made me stop playing tournaments along time ago. I play to have fun laugh at myself when I screw up, make jokes and just have fun. To much I need to destroy you at all costs has ruined most of the games I play. Now I just play with friends we don't do tournaments anymore because if we did we would make a mockery out of the ultra-hard core players and make them cry ...
Not surprised that there appears to be this trend:
Those players who complain they don't have any time to play are the ones saying they love the game and have no complaints. The way to love and enjoy X-Wing most is to not play X-Wing, heh.

Hopefully your fortunes change!
Same thing. At my first ever tourney (Naboo Open) I'd say most everyone was pretty cool. My first opponent even gave me some custom alt art cards that he made. Total class act

I can't help that I have a blast every time I play a game. I also can't help that my schedule has really messed with my time of late.
I think the trick to love and enjoy x-wing is to "fly casual" and just not care that much about what's going on in the meta. In my two circles I play the only thing we follow from organized tournaments is the FAQ updates. Aside from that, it may be 100/6 xwing but it's not really tournament play. We often just play regardless of time limit until one player wins or one player concedes.
Do whatever you enjoy, and you won't have a problem.
Regarding the game itself, if I could change one thing, it would be to increase the number of viable pilots and upgrades. If you want to be even semi-competitive, there is only a small selection of good pilots and upgrades to choose from. The rest are either just not quite good enough, or downright garbage. What were they thinking, exactly, when they designed R3 Astromech or Fel's Wrath? Pilot Skill is already an all-important stat in this game... a low-PS pilot has to have a mind-blowingly good ability to justify taking them over the PS9 guys. Instead, the PS9 guys have most of the best abilities, with only a few exceptions. Then they don't let a lot of the lower-PS pilots have an Elite slot, which guarantees those pilots will never see play, except for once in a while in a casual game. The designers are getting better about this, but they still screw up quite regularly.
In connection with the above, I would also like to see faster response to problematic cards. I want to see a LOT more nerfs and buffs, and I want them post haste! My other big hobby is playing League of Legends (talk about a toxic community... lucky for me there are mute buttons!). LoL comes out with a new patch for the game every TWO WEEKS like clockwork. I understand that the medium of a tabletop game doesn't lend itself to a "living" set of rules that can be amended continuously. Certainly it would be a problem if FFG was invalidating their printed material willy-nilly all the time, but I do think there are ways they could keep up with the meta a little better. This game became a breakout success and is wildly more successful than they ever hoped... now they need to support the changing meta as a competitive game.
Honorable mentions for stuff that I don't like:
Ultimately, though, the WORST thing about this game isn't even this game. It's an aspect of this community. People are such asshats to each other, often with little to no provocation. Technically that's a problem with the internet in general, but this is a niche hobby that is enjoyed by a relatively small group of people. We should be better than that. Sometimes when I come here to read stuff I say to myself, this must be what it's like to be in an abusive relationship. I see how people treat so often each other on these forums and it disgusts me, but I keep coming back because it's the only place where I can have a satisfying discussion about the game. Sometimes I get really tired of wading through the muck to find the occasional pearl. I fully expect that one of these days, somebody's going to be a big enough turd that I'll decide it just isn't worth the frustration, and I'll just take the bookmark off my web browser.
For me it's the person your playing against that makes the difference. I don't enjoy playing with sore winners and losers.
Also, I'm not a fan of folks who X-Wing players whose game play is a bit shady to say at the least.
I read about players who stick to the 100/6 mindset. WHY? Play to have fun and as the rules say to agree with your opponent about points, etc. Sometimes my friends and I play 100-75-66 squad points, just to do something different. Why stay with the standard? We do use the new FAQs because they are part of the rules, but playing casual can mean the rules can be bent to a point, just agree beforehand.

I wish I could play more, but I'm not limited by children/family so that's just on me not making an effort to make it to more isolated game nights. It's been good this month because our alternating weekly D&D group has been off, so I've played every week.
I simultaneously enjoy the forums, and am repulsed by some of the acrimony and countless whining/nerf threads.
I usually have fun, but I hate playing against top-tier meta or net-lists; fortunately there isn't much of that in my group.
I ausually have fun, win or lose, but if I consistently fly poorly, or don't think my list through (I recently put Dorsal Turret on Miranda... yeah) I'll be upset with myself.
Sometimes a specific player will show up and they complain about everything; they hate the new movies, they hate the old ExpUni wipe, they hate SW, they hate large bases if you fly large bases, they hate aces if you fly aces... I wonder why they even play or if they even like SW. I try to be accepting and cushion the newer/novice players, but as it is I'm not stoked about running into them in the local scene. If anything, there's the satisfaction of consistently trouncing their squads like they was butter. It would be so much easier if they were just NICE.
Ships that are invincible.
Ships that are invincible because they can endlessly regenerate health.
Flagrant disregard for the importance of maneuvering. Turrets, excessive high pilot skill repositioning, or both.
Flagrant disregard for the importance of using actions wisely, or maneuvering well so that way you can get them. Freebie things like Mindlink, FCS, Autothrusters, C-3PO, x7, Expertise, Predator, RAC's ability.
Kanan crew working on the ship he's on that way you can do endless white Falcon sloops because a ship is technically a friendly ship at range one of itself.
Having a critical hit splash on a shield and having it count as "critical damage" so that way you can take hand picked face up damage cards even though any sane person without an encyclopedic knowledge of the rules would just regard a crit that hits a shield as regular damage.
Shield regen is a mechanic that should be available to any ship with shields. It's kinda the point of shields.
Not only does not every ship with shields have it, entire FACTIONS don't have it.
This is unfun to me.

Just one, actually.

An interesting take on it, I'd go further and say the execution is way off though if that's what they were trying to do.
If they were aiming for a high accuracy low damage weapon they should have made it something along the lines of 4 dice for one damage, one shot only. As it is now its a medium accuracy weapon for medium damage, it doesn't have the accuracy to reliably hit high defense ships with autothrusters but it really punishes low agility high health ships.

I didn't say losing is not fun, I said winning is *more* fun. Nothing wrong with losing, but I prefer to win the games I play.

You can fly casual and fly meta at the same time, there's no reason they need to be different things. There's nobody forcing you to fly meta or not.
Most important is to agree with your opponent what you want to do with a game. I.e. thematic, meta, list testing, or whatever. You both want the same thing so it's fun.

I play to have fun within 100/6, just because it's standard doesn't make it unfun. In fact, I enjoy it more because there is more indepth tactical thought both online and in person for this style (nobody knows what the epic meta is).

I agree with that, it's badly implemented. But the idea is there, and the concept is clearly sound (lots of dice, not a lot of damage.)
K Wings and Kylo Ren.
People who complain about the game when they're not winning instead of learning how to improve.
Just learn one small thing from each game you play no matter how badly you done. Don't gloat about winning either, even the winner can reflect and think about what they could have done better.
