My bowels received a stress token when I read the OP, then I went to the bathroom to remove the stress. I also received a facedown damage card, thanks Porkins.

That would be a good nerf for Fel's Wrath, too.

The only thing wrong with K4 Security Droid is that it's Scum Only. Why do they get all the best upgrades?

This was Rosewater satirizing the paradox of the removed-from-game zone being actually a game zone (with cards "removed from the game" that were still part of the game), which later lead them to rename it "exile zone".

Trolls eat well around here, it seems, with everyone so happy to feed them. Everyone just needs to simply and politely put FTS Gecko on the Ignore List and move on, rather than posting the same objections/reactions to his daily "Nerf X" threads, which are admittedly just his form of protest against the tone of the forums that he dislikes.

If it got the /x7 treatment I wouldn't be upset. But I think that would be borne out of trying to stop the 1 winning list that happened to stick out at the top, rather than addressing what was actually up with everything else just underneath that.

Yeah, I agree. To be fair I dislike pretty much every action/reward mechanic which works regardless of blocking/overlapping obstacles etc. But K4 isn't an actual real problem.

Well I would like to thank the OP. I had a bad night, but reading this thread has literally had me laughing. Then I received a stress token.

K4 was on BOTH the ships in the winning list. Clearly OP. I think the only real nerf it needs though it to be errata'd to "K4 security drood.". That would be enough to bring it into line with other power cards like Wingman or Marksmanship.

tbh i think it should be along the lines of the x7 title - make it a free action rather than just acquire a lock.

that being said, it doesn't feel as powerful as x7 felt, but its a very powerful card.

It's a combination of things really. In a vacuum cards like Mindlink and K4 are absolutely fine.

Then you add large based ships with insane amounts of green: Lancer - 7 green; IG - 9 green; JM5K w/ Unhinged - 9 green
(for reference YTs, Ghost, shuttles, Deci, Firespray all have 4 greens)

Then a hideously undercosted chassis in the JM5K (it really needs to lose 3 upgrade slots to justify that pricing)

And all of a sudden you have a range of power combos that very little else can compete with (unless it's another Scum power combo)

But yes. I can't see any justification for any large based ship having green hard turns. Massive ball drop there.

And it is such a massive lost opportunity, too. It could have been so polarized with no 1 and 3 turns, a red 2 turn, no sloop on the weak side and the dial we have on the other (minus the white sloop, because what the heck? Make that red). That would have been interesting! it would have made the asymmetry really matter. And with such an efficient frame, it would have seen play anyways.

AT the very least making the turns on the bad side red would have been a big balancing factor for it. As it is it has an insanely good side and a good side, not a good side and a bad side.

Yeah! Let's nerf everything you can possibly put on a jumpmaster even if it's not a problem on any other platform. I mean it worked so well with Deadeye i R4 right?

Or maybe just fix jumpmaster... and then receive a stress token.

I think the (IG-88) Aggressor is a great comparison. A large-base interceptor with only a primary arc gets no green turns. Why in the world do the Lancer and Jumpmaster get them?

Can't remember who put the idea out there but I am warming to the idea of Attani Mindlink makes all green turns white. I think it has a real chance of flattening the power curve while still allowing Kihraxz and Scyk to maybe eke out some decent squads with Mindlink.
