How much XP for new characters in ongoing campaign:

Hi DH forum!

If a character is so unfortunate to die while serving the God Emperor of Mankind, and the player has to create a new character, what amount of XP do they start with? The same amount of XP specified when building new characters? Or it is more like in DnD where they start with the same amount of XP as the other players?
