Is there anyway to play the U wing with Dash competitively? Maybe not worlds winning but still make a strong showing?

I was thinking of running

Dash

Mangler cannon, Cluster Missiles, expertise, Recon Spec, and Outrider title

Cassian

PTL, Plasma torps, FCS, Engine Upgrade, Jan Ors, Recon Spec and pivot wing title.

This is a hot mess of upgrades at the moment. Lots going on but not a lot of synergy. How can it be improved?

I tried a Dash/Cassian list. Cassian was basically bait.

Start by dropping cluster missiles. Use the points for a modification. Rey is cheaper and better than RecSpec. Slow-roll to build up focus tokens for defense, then target lock for rerolls when you get into the action.

Cassian is probably fine as-is.

Yeah I have seen that Rey is being used on most Dash builds but I don't have her sadly.

I'd rather stick with the traditional 58 Special Dash (Kanan over Kyle) that can play more into his pilot ability, personally.

Dash: PTL, HLC, title, EU, Kanan Jarrus

Cassian: rage, sensor jammer, hotshot co pilot, Hera, stealth device, title, flechette torp.

This makes the U wing up to a 3 agility ship with sensor jammer for extra defense and hotshot to hopefully strip focus from enemies. You could also ditch rage for veteran instincts to make Cassian shoot first more reliably but you miss out on the focus and rerolls while atracking.
