Hope this has not been posted on the forum yet, but I thought I could provide a list of all units hinted at in the Lore Guide. Within each faction's chapter there is a brief section describing their armies/units. I hope the little extracts I post won't be considered as a copyright infringement.
DAQAN (pages 12-13)
- Knights (Oathsworn Cavalry is probably part of it, so partly released)
- Spearmen (released)
- Crossbowmen (page 12: "... the famed crossbows that arm Tamalir's Red Echo Regulars.")
- Elves and dwarves allies from the Free Cities
- Battle chariots (from dwarf allies)
- Totem guards (warriors from Frostgate clans)
- Rune Golems (released)
- Wizards and warlocks
- Ironbounds (page 13: "... created the Ironbound: animated suits of armor ensorcelled to combat both corrupt warlocks and the enemies of the realm...")
WAIQAR (pages 17-18)
- Deathborn Legion (individual champions, which Ardus is part of?)
- Reanimated warriors (released)
- Reanimated archers (released)
- Reanimated cavalry (page 17: "The reanimated warriors, archers and cavalry of Waiqar's forces move...")
- Priests and necromancers
- Barrow wyrms (undead dragons, page 18: "When raised under Waiqar's banner, these barrow wyrms terrify all who can hear the the beat...")
- Carrion worms (released)
UTHUK (page 25)
- Berserkers (page 25: "...seemingly undeterred by any attempt to stop them")
- Archers, with poisoned arrows (page 25: "Archers from the Viper Legion tipped their arrows with the heads of snakes to deliver painful poisons.")
- Obscenes (page 25: "...capable of withstanding blow after blow from an entire unit of infantry.")
- Fleshrippers (page 25: "...beasts the color of blood that would kill and consume all in their path.")
- Bonewitches (page 25: "...bonewitches could twist the bones of their followers into weapons or break the bones of their enemies.")
- Bloodwitches (page 25: "Bloodwitches could heal themselves and their minions with the spilled blood of their enemies...")
- Demons (of all sorts)
LATARI ELVES (page 29)
- Darnati spearmen (page 29: "How swiftly they shift their steps, facing any foe with a forest of razor tips.")
- Swordmasters (page 29: "In full armor, with great blades made heavy to carve through mounted foes...")
- Archers (announced)
- Mages and mystics (mostly nature-based)
- Aymhelin scions (announced)
- Leonx riders (announced)
- Yeron riders (the yeron being a flying horse, as I understand it)
It's also interesting to note that some unit descriptions provide a hint at their eventual gameplay specificity (example: a free Reform action for Darnati spearmen when they get flanked?).
What do you think?
