Haha same - I recall him wanting to back away from the game for a while but I'm glad he didn't. Good read.

Cool. Someone tell him esege or w/e can't help biggs defend. Seems to have kind of based the build on that, and as usual, FFG proofreading doesn't catch these things. These kind of things are especially annoying in instructional "newbie" articles.

Fudge Ripple! It's my fault. I have been playing Esege wrong this whole time! I didn't realize it was only for attack.

Bummer. Well, Kyle Katarn ( Moldy Crow , Recon Specialist, Blaster Turret) can fit in Esege's place. Brings the total cost down to $90 USD, but I think that's alright. Besides, I think the only 101 article that didn't suggest getting a K-wing was the Imperial one, so it would be nice to have some variety presented in these articles.

Don't get me wrong, I had to click esege to double check. It was more of a comment on the proofread mistakes that seem to be an just about every article overall on the game.

I'll admit the use of Esege was done by a local guy when we play tested the mission a lot. He loves K-wings since they first came out and loves Esege. We will need to have a talk about his use, though.

Oh, local guy was Blake, who is on Sling Paint and ....Hornet Squadron podcast. He's a great guy.

Don't lie, buh lak K isn't anything approaching a good guy. HE'S A FILTHY CHEATER AND ADMITTED KANAN/BIGGS ADDICT

Filthy casual waste of time article! Why are we getting this instead of more info on the Auzituck gunship? My anger knows no bounds! ;)

"Don't get me wrong. It's fun to play tournament-style games like a pair of top aces battling for supremacy, but many players are looking for thematic or cinematic experiences that feel more like the Star Wars they know and love"

Huge thank you for this !

Now I hope FFG will bring a campaign box ! :)

Even got a shout for the podcast in there too (right at the end)

when does the pt 2 article come out?

I like these kinds of articles. I'm really hoping for a campaign/mission book with more detailed missions and options besides 100 pt. dogfights. I love that stuff but a few friends are skeptical of trying anything home-brewed like HotAC just because it doesn't come from FFG directly. And the work involved to try some of these things is hard to be motovated to do unless I know they will play.

Yay! Go Heychadwick!

Did I hear Rippled Chocolate Fugde (Ice Cream)? Where? :P

But nice to see a slight push of casual stuff on the main news!

Love the article and really appreciate heychadwick's contributions to the forum, but have to go along with others who mention "yet another K-Wing endorsement," a ship that has not been available since these articles began appearing.

I would suggest for the Imperials, that TIE Bombers have a prevalent role to overcome the presence of Biggs. Looking forward to Part Two.

Sorry....the K-wing wasn't sold out (as far as I knew) when I wrote the article.

I won't say anything about what the Imperial article is about! I will say it's tough to build a good list with $101 as you need to look at all the upgrades that come with all the ships. did you notice how few ordnance actually comes with the Tie Bomber?

Can you damage the shuttle with bombs? I would assume so. That is an option...

Thanks for the article, it continues to be highly enjoyable watching you steer the game into a direction you enjoy. Acting instead of complaining!

You just had to get R3 Astromech in there, didn't you? Lol

I wanted to add that the use of R3 Astromech on Biggs is awesome! In this scenario, destroyed Imperial ships can be replaced by Academy Pilots launching from the Imperial edge during the end phase. If Biggs gets his evade token from R3, he will definitely be able to use it against the Academy Pilots.

In our Heroes campaign one guy has a BTL-A4 Y-wing with Twin Laser Turret and R3 Astromech, and that evade token is crazy helpful!

You can damage with Bombs! It is fun. Proton go through shields.

I agree that R3 is good in the right spot! This is another example of how some things are good in Missions when they might not be in tournaments.

I have also used R3 on my X-wing to good effect in HotAC. I hadn't thought on a Y-wing with BTL title!

I believe that is Captain Oicunn's line.

Good article! I can't wait to read the next one!
