I do like it! Equals the highest I've ever taken to a tournament. Question, why the VCXs if you're bidding so high (and therefore not really planning on being second) and if you are taking them for the objectives why those objectives and not ones that score you more points with strategic abuse (fire lanes, capture the VIP, sensor net, Intel sweep).

Objects are a WIP at the moment. I'm trying to play through as many as possible at the moment trying to figure out which ones are best. The VCX's are there as insurance in case someone else brings strategic and strategic heavy objectives... And I like the relay/speed 5 opportunities in the first couple of turns! ;)

Would always appreciate some advice in the objectives department though! :D

EDIT - Just realised I've included the wrong objectives on the fleet list! Should read Targeting Beacons/Jamming Barrier/Sensor Net :P

Actually it's very similar to my Nationals cracken list where I came 2nd in. Also the same National that Luke trumped me in the finals to go onto world's haha!

My current fleet that I am happy with, and have enjoyed some success with. Love area denial and obstacle moving shananigans.

Faction: Galactic Empire
Points: 394/400

Commander: Admiral Motti

Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery
Defense Objective: Fleet Ambush
Navigation Objective: Minefields

[ flagship ] Interdictor-class Suppression Refit (90 points)
- Admiral Motti ( 24 points)
- Admiral Titus ( 2 points)
- Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points)
- Phylon Q7 Tractor Beams ( 6 points)
- NK-7 Ion Cannons ( 10 points)
- G7-X Grav Well Projector ( 2 points)
- Grav Shift Reroute ( 2 points)
= 139 total ship cost

Victory II-Class Star Destroyer (85 points)
- Corrupter ( 5 points)
- Minister Tua ( 2 points)
- Flight Controllers ( 6 points)
- Boosted Comms ( 4 points)
- Reinforced Blast Doors ( 5 points)
- X17 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
- Overload Pulse ( 8 points)
= 121 total ship cost

1 IG-88 ( 21 points)
1 Lamda-class Shuttle ( 15 points)
1 Boba Fett ( 26 points)
1 Bossk ( 23 points)
1 Maarek Steele ( 21 points)
1 Saber Squadron ( 12 points)
1 Major Rhymer ( 16 points)

If I were playing against that one and I was player 1 and had to pick which of those I would go against I would take Targeting Beacons because other than the MC30 the rest really don't benefit much from it.

Do not underestimate this list. Hystarr is an expert with the two activations, and that squadron ball doesn't actually have to bunch up except to provide concentrated fire to bring down a key target. Watching you guys try this would be pretty great. Hopefully @Captain Weather won't repeat my mistakes and get two Imperials blown away for just the [redacted] Victory.

Also, @Hystarr, are you in the Summer Tournament? I want a rematch (though it may be with Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, the Rebel version of the list that fought you the first time).

Yeah, I am in it and if you noticed I modified my list slightly learning from my 1st 3 fights with it....you happen to see that the Vic got a smidge tougher.... ?

We'll see about that. Gryphon was always doomed, but I'm still pretty ********* sure my list could beat it if I didn't do stupid, stupid things like not check if Manticore has range or not. With that in mind though, hurling S&G at you ought to be a good crash course in how that list needs to be fiddled to be ready for war.

I'd be wary about copy pasting all the "@"'s like that. You just sent pings out to all 40 of us! ;)

It did fix, we're fine here, we're all fine here, how are you?

@Hystarr why have I been awoken and summoned to this thread?

I'm trying to figure our what is being done to do a user mention. merely putting the "@" symbol in front of the user name doesn't seem to do anything.

Ah from watching the moving pictures of the Oracle above it is to witness the whinyness of an imperial making bad choices and blaming dice. It is so witnessed.

Wow...That was harsh. But yeah didn't think it would have tagged all in just a copy function. My bad. ?

Seemingly I woke up an Angry Viking or something. No worries about the ping. I am as always just amusing myself:)Its just there were some interesting interpretations of what was bad dice luck compared bad match up in terms of shooting I feel.

No worries. Apologies to all who inadvertently got pinged. I didn't think that it would have done it from a copy paste from another location...did not think it though as it was very late and I am very sleepy.

Yeah, I think maybe you have the Crux of that one for sure.

Well the imperial player did acknowledge the mistakes at then to be fair to him.

I need to ask something that made me wonder.

The ISD had a critical "Damaged Controls - Crew - When you overlap a ship or obstacle, deal a face down damage card to your ship (in addition to all other obstacle effects)".
And it was landing on the station.

You removed the damage card and didn't take a damage from the crit.

I always thought you have to resolve the effects with the same trigger. No matter if the source is gone.
After you did the manuever you have two effects. 1.) Deal a face down damage card (from Damaged Controls), 2.) discard a damage card (from the station).
And you need to resolve both of these effects, you can just say in what order they have to be done. But they still should be done.
Just because the Damage Controls is discarded, the effect from it is not gone.

I might be wrong, because it happens so rarely.
I know that ramming happens before the station, but in this case it is not ramming. These are two effects with the same timing.
