I was wanting to put together a Tie Swarm list and was wondering if anyone had a Tie or Crack swarm list that they liked and felt like sharing. Thanks for the help.
Your favorite Tie / Crack swarm list
I have fun with a phantom/mini-swarm list from time to time.
Whisper - VI, FCS, intel agent, ACD (40 points)
black squadron - crack shot x4 (15 pts each)
Sure!
I've got a pretty **** good TIE swarm list right now, but like all TIE swarm lists, its hard to fly. Bombers are not easy to keep in formation, so you have to get creative with your flying.
Howlrunner w/ VI = 19
Scimitar w/ title, ops spec & intel agent = 20
5 academy pilots = 60
99
You have 7 ships, so lots of bodies (important for a TIE swarm!). You also have two sources of dice mods: howlrunner and operations specialist on the bomber. Together, your TIEs are shooting fully modified shots most of the time. Best of all, your TIEs can take the evade action because Ops Spec means they will have plenty of focus tokens when its time for the Academies to shoot! This is huge really. Evade considerably reduces the chances of a TIE getting one-shot due to a bad defense roll.
How to fly them is hard to explain. I tend to put Howlrunner and the bomber in the back. The nice thing about Operations Specialist is that its range 1 - 2, so its fine if he trails a bit behind or even a bit to the side of the swarm.
The firepower potential is quite good. After the first turn of shooting, most opponents quickly realize just how dangerous that bomber is, and they tend to want to kill it ASAP. Knowing this can help you position it better to keep it safe.

Gotta work out the kinks, but you get up to 10 attacks in a round. Wampa is extra spicy with Op Spec, because his ability cancels all die results, so he never actually hits, he just deals a facedown damage card, and it still triggers op spec since he never actually hit. Plus, he draws the aggro away from the bomber. Snapshot gets damage through or else tosses focus tokens around before combat begins.
