Bind + Move control

By TrystramK, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

This question came up in a game I play in: Can two force users with bind combine their powers in such a way that one player maintains the power, while the other just moves the targets around with the control upgrade?

Would the move usage require a power check by player B, even though the power is being maintained by player A? Also, say Player A needed to pass off the power to Player B, would you require some kind of skill check to successfully take over invocation of the power in addition to the force check?

Thanks!

Depending what the point of the mobility is, I'd be willing to hear an argument for it. Keeping in mind this isn't the move power, the bind movement aspect is really pretty limited. My next question about this would be if one were to use bind and move, could one viably cause damage to the bound thing? What happens if you have two people using move on a single thing going in opposite directions?

It would require a roll by player B because it's still a power being activated by not player A.

This is an interesting one, were I to do such a thing discipline would be my skill of choice to use.

Two separate Force users, thus two separate Bind power checks would be needed, especially as it's been clarified by Sam Stewart that in order to use Bind's various control upgrades you also need to trigger the base power.

If one player used Bind to maintain a hold on an NPC, then another PC could easily use the Move force power to relocate the NPC. The tricky part would be ensuring the second PC doesn't move the target out of range of the first pc.

Yeah, the move power would be the cheaper way to pull this off.

If they know both Move and Bind, let them attempt it as a bind check and handwave it for the narrative that they do it, as they know both powers. Have it be limited to the range of the weakest power though
