Hey guys,
Got to play a few rounds today with my new Shadowcaster. Ran Asajj in a stress control list. It was fun, but I didn't do terribly well. It might have been the matchups (I was fighting ghosts all day), but I could really use some tips.
I was running Asajj with Fen, and a Z-95 bodyguard. Probably not enough punch for points. Oh well.
How do you run Asajj?
The most popular way is:
Asajj Mindlink, Latts Razi
Manaroo Mindlink
Fenn Rau Mindlink, Title, Autothrusters
If I'm running Asajj:
defensively; PTL, Latts, Title, Gyro
Offensively; PTL, Dengar, Title Gyro
Combination/Fun; PTL, Recon specialist, Title, Gyro
They're all pretty similar because with PTL and Gyro the action economy on the Shadowcaster is amazing, and I add illicit upgrades if I have the points remaining. I'm also a huge fan of running Asajj with the Quadjumper to block and for additional tractor beam shenanigans

Unkar Plutt - Ketsu Onyo, Pattern analyzer, BMST, Spacetug tractor array
Old Teroch - Fearlessness, Title, Autothrusters

Got some Quadjumpers in the mail. I love this list and can't wait to try it out.
I do like Gyro on Asajj for action efficiency but EU is also really good on her too. Really allows her to limit incoming fire by dodging arcs or boosting behind rocks.

Why PTL and Gyro? PTL alone is enough to handle your arc. I would use those 2 points somewhere else. On another ship or on illicit upgrades. Rigged cargo chute for double stress is nice :-)
Personnaly i prefer Asajj + 2xTLT Ywing or Asajj + TLT Palob + TLT Ywing.

Honestly, I take the gyro so I can PTL for focus + target lock because I roll incredibly poorly and need as much modifying as possible.
I'm going to start trying Asajj with EU in the near future though.
Ill try your suggestion of the rigged cargo next time though, sounds fun. Or annoying if your my opponent
`RIgged Cargo on Assaj is great. It can really surprise people when you don't break off in the direction you fake out with your gyros, and instead drive 4 straight over their head, poopchute PTL spin arc. I got 5 stress off with a single cloud in a game on Vassal last week it was super satisfying.
