Rey/Lothal - Squad Help

By millsbr91, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hello all. This is my first post. Only played a few games so far and wanted a few thoughts on my current squad.

Rey (45)

Trick Shot (0)

Smuggling Compartment (0)

Burnout SLAM (1)

Millennium Falcon (Segnor's Loop) (1)

Finn (5)

Kanan Jarrus (3)

Lothal Rebel (35)

Dorsal Turret (3)

Fire Control System (2)

Ezra Bridger (3)

Hera Syndulla (1)

Total (99)

Rey hits hard and the Lothal doesn't care about stress. I've thought about adding expertise to Rey, but haven't decided how to fit it without hurting the Lothal too much.

I'd love to hear what you think and how to improve the squad! Thanks!

I don't know if this got missed because of the "pending approval" thing since I'm new, so I figured I'd bump this back up.

I am no pro, but this is my Rebel Rey List, more of an up close & personal Rebel with Rey being more free flying. If I had the points I would definitely add Kanan to my Rey, he's an amazing addition to your list.

Rebel Rey (100)

Rey (55) - YT-1300
Veteran Instincts (1), Finn (5), C-3PO (3), Millennium Falcon (1)

Lothal Rebel (45) - VCX-100
Accuracy Corrector (3), Autoblaster Turret (2), Plasma Torpedoes (3), Hera Syndulla (1), Intelligence Agent (1)

For Rey, Expertise is incredible, but if you can't find the points, definitely change Trick Shot to Veteran Instincts. With all the PS 9 dudes flying around, having Rey at 10 is a huge benefit. Finn and Kanan are the perfect crew, specifically with the new Falcon title. Dorsal turret should probably be Autoblaster with Accuracy Corrector.

As a frequent Ghost player, Autoblaster and AC is a nasty combo, but I've always like FCS, especially if your gameplan is to keep it stressed. The way it seems you're planning to play will eliminate all your actions on the Ghost. Having FCS at least gives you a target lock action to modify your dice, and 4 red dice means you want to aim for more than 2 hits with your primary.

Ezra is nice, but the amount of dice you're rolling on the Ghost, I would expect you to get enough natural crits for you to spend those points elsewhere. You could put Chopper on the Ghost for free and bump Rey up to Expertise with the remaining points.

Jan could be an option as well to give Rey an evade. That would free up two points to put Swarm Tactics or Lone Wolf (for those out-of-arc attacks) depending on how you play.
