Crack swarms do great against PS 3 torp boats. They murder Kanan. They are ok against Miranda.

I stopped playing them before mindlink became the rage because dengaroo and defenders (which are both mostly gone).

Thoughts on their current effectiveness otherwise?

Not sure but I'm Dustin off my a and E wings and using them with Ahsoka now. Lol

As there is now a but more variance (I. E limited zuckuss rerolls, palp not being able to be banked and x7 being a little less potent) I think it could work. However Fenn and assajj are now there so not sure

When I think of Swarms I think of 7-8 ships. A-wings can only bring up 2 6 without breaking the 100 point limit.

But as far as crackshots no A-wings will cost too much even with chardaan refit. You won't be able to bring more than 5, even if you try to go half with only 2 crack shots and the rest chardaan prototype. TIE Fighters can bring 6 TIEs with fully loaded, if they drop 2 down to Academy they can take 2 more academy and have 8 TIE swarm with 4 crack shots.

Try snapshot A's. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

If we could only get A-Wings, TIE/LN and Interceptors back in the competitive meta; that would be awesome! I love fast dodgy fighters!maybe FFG has the same admiration and they have ideas on the board to get Star Wars classics back on top ?.....a guy can dream man, a guy can dream.

Most certainly you can fit 5, and this list won a regional last Spring (aka before Dengaroo/ defenders):

I remember my first game : x-wing/a-wing vs tie/ln and tie/interceptor ! A blast ! Remember when ffg sais xwing is a game about dogfight ?

Now we have large ship and turret (ghost with autoblaster/TLT) ! Not what exactly I wanted first....
