Is it wrong to want to arc dodge again?

I don't see how a 2.0 will fix the underlying problem. Which is that this is a competitive game with list building components and continuing expansions. Games like this will have a meta. I don't know how to avoid it. They will also, from time to time, have very overpowered cards/ships due to the fact that game designers, will never be perfect. All a 2.0 will do is force us to buy new stuff in order to play with what we have already bought. Honestly I have played a number of mini games and the only game I have played that is nearly as balanced as X-wing is Aramda.

Armada blows X-Wing away imo. Probably because 2 factions are easier to balance than 3? There's almost no hard and set meta

Armada has a much larger design space and and two years younger, but there is definitely a meta, people are currently complaining about flotillas. I actually love how CC address the meta since unique upgrades can only be used once per faction, not once per fleet.

Well both Armada and X-wing were designed with 2 factions from the start. However the 3rd X-wing faction did allow for more competitive play because now there's a third list that can be completely different from the other two and avoids hybrid top meta lists like Whisper mini swarm of Whisper and 4-5 TIE Fighters.

As for Armada meta, yeah it is set. It is called Rhymer Ball, YinTel-1300 wings, and Gozanti Lifeboats. The only reason why Armada doesn't have as clear of a meta as X-wing is because it isn't as vetted as X-wing meta since X-wing is the more popular game. If Armada had the numbers X-wing has you can bet there would be a meta and more nerf lists on the forum.
