The Curse Doll can remove upto 3 Effects, including Curses.

I don't see why not. Once the Curse token is on you, it's just a Curse token; it doesn't go away if you remove the cursed item, and I don't see why the item should need to go away in order for you to remove the Curse token.

Just keep in mind that the curse will magically reappear when you die, because you have to equip the item again right away. One curse doll per death might get expensive over time.

But yes, I don't see why that wouldn't work.

It is the same as if you were to equip a different weapon, You keep the curse token but now when you die, you don't need to auto-equip the cursed weapon.

You never ned to auto-equip a cursed item when you die. You can choose to discard them.

I'm sure Haslo was merely attempting to point out that the item in question is still cursed, even if you remove the Curse token it inflicted, and so you will still be forced to either re-equip it (gaining another Curse token) or discard it (losing it forever) if you die while it's equipped.
