Personalities that have returned

By Ookamiprime, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Does anyone have a list of personalities that have returned to the game?

Not yet, but it seems like a good idea. These are the ones which I have seen mentioned by name

Imperial

Hantei XXXVIII

Crab:

Hida Kisada

(He has children, but they are un-named as yet)

Crane

Doji Satsume (RIP)

Doji Kuwanan

Doji Shizue

Dragon:

Togashi Yokuni

Lion

Akodo Arasou (ish)

Akodo Toturi

Matsu Tsuko

Phoenix

Shiba Ujimitsu

Scorpion

Bayushi Shoju

Bayushi Kachiko

Unicorn

Utako Kamoko

Note, that these characters may not have cards. I don't know that they will card a Hantei, for example. Clan Champions are the only ones I think we can rely on.

You forgot our clan's champion Doji Hotaru !

Edit : oups didn't read the title properly :'p

Hotaru is not a returned personality. Neither is Shinjo Aransarnai.

They're brand new characters who are taking the place once held by different ones.

Huh, so Doji Satsume dose not die during/after the Scorpion Coup. Interesting. Interested in seeing who the currant Emerald Champion is during this reimagining.

Doji Satsume was severely wounded on the 3rd day of the Scorpion Clan coup.

On the 5th day, Doji Hoturi was in the unofficial role of Crane Clan Champion in the fiction. Only the Emperor can appoint a Clan Champion, Hantei XXXVIII was dead, so technically Hoturi was Sozokunin or Heir to the Throne. It's safe to assume that Satsume was dead based on this point in the fiction.

This story appears to be set before the events that lead to the Coup, indeed even before meathead jock Arasou's ill-fated attempt to give Tsuko a Crane castle as a wedding present, leading to his own death. Thus it is totally appropriate for people who died during the Coup to be currently alive, new timeline or not.

That being said, I hope that they incorporate Hida Sukune more into the story this time around.

The Hida Sukune story was one of the first jaw dropping stories I can remember. A clan champion nailing his own son to a banner was just dark. (Minus the resurrection...)
