Is there anyone near Raleigh, NC that are playing this game or thinking about picking it up? I haven't seen any promotion of the game in the local game stores even though I have seen the intro box in the shelves. I would like to get a feel if there is or going to be an community for this game in my area.
I'm in the Greensboro area! I haven't picked my box up yet, but plan to soon. I'd be willing to commute to Raleigh for some games when I could if a group does develop there.

Have any of you heard about a launch event in any of the gaming stores in the area? i haven't heard or seen anything but I'm hoping to get a demo game some day to figure out if the game is as awesome as my friends tell me.
i know mighty meeple in concord has a community and some great gaming tables.

I go to Game Theory frequently, and David said they had a kit for some launch event. We can probably talk to them about doing something since they already have it. Otherwise I can demo something after I get my stuff (had someone pick it up for me, just gotta meet up with him and grab it). I know there is at least one other local dude who is getting it next month.

Would love to meet at Game Theory one day, after the 8th of May. It's only 25 min from where i live.
I read today on atomic empires forum that they have a launch event on the 29th of April, but since I'm out of town the 27th-8th i can't participate. Would be great to see if we could get a local group up and running.
Oh good to know! Might try to make it out for that, but I sadly doubt I'll have stuff painted by then.
