In my gaming group, we played android for the first time using the starter murder card with no special effects and at the end of the game, two suspects had tied for being the most guilty for the murder. we couldn't find it in the rulebook and we played it as giving the reward to both guilty hunch cards since they were both just as likely to have killed the victim.

It says right in the rulebook, that the murderer is the one nearest to the top on the list of suspects on the murder sheet.
Mike makes reference to the 'Murder Sheet Breakdown' on page 45.
On page 39 it says if players tie for VP and one has the correct guilty hunch, they win. If neither of them have the correct guilty hunch, they both win.
As mentioned the order of the suspects, from top to bottom, on the Murder sheet indicate the order that ties are broken.
If player's tie, the only one with the correct guilty hunch wins, and if neither has that then they share the victory.
Yeah, unlike OTHER people here, who I envy and already OWN the game, I still have to stroke the box's cover's jpg on the FFG site before going to bed.
Don't worry, Mike. Just be good for the next two weeks and hang a really big sock by the fireplace. Maybe you'll get a surprise.

They also both win if they both have a guilty hunch. There is one murder scenario that allows for more than one guilty hunch to be correct.

That's some of the best part though! Ahhhh... nothing like the smell of new, freshly opened game and the feeling of punching those pristine tokens out of their holders, one at a time. Mmmm... I did that for my copy of Android today.

It was fun.
It's one of those guilty pleasures that, if someone were to start doing to one of my game while I was talking or in the restroom, and came back to find it had been punched out already, I would so resemble a scolded puppy. That sh*t just isn't done. It'd be like eating food off my plate without asking.
My girlfriend tried to rip open the plastic covering until I told her in a serious and stern voice "No. Bad Girlfriend." I had to do that again when she tried to open the box first. That's my right!
