So was playing the game the other day, and a friend of mine was playing as jim and a question came up

"So er does this work on every skill test done anywhere"

So yeh, where as the effect is location based, the check doesnt seem to mention a test done by jim or even at jims location, so can another player anywhere on the board pull a skull and then jim can exhause his trumpet to go healing sanity?

Yes its any players draw. The trumpet gets better with more players.

Dang. I've got Dunwich but I've nit had a chance to play it yet. Jim seems pretty great.

Prepare to be disappointed. He's a great support character, or maybe solo on harder difficulties. But in Standard solo, he's really not so good

He is the same in Eldritch Horror, great in support and average on his own. However, every time I play him in EH, he turns out to be the star of the show for some reason. Hope he will give me the same luck in Arkham Horror.

He did have a "Strange Luck" ability in Arkham Horror. Coincidence?
