I feel that a Tie interceptor may make an appearance in The last Jedi, I would love to see that as a wave 12 ship. Also maybe revitalize the interceptor to be more than a fel only ship.

A First Order Interceptor-equivalent? Maybe.
Given that Imperial Aces is a pair of Interceptors, I'd be surprised to see anything more interceptor-centric without their being a "new version" of it as there was in the TIE/fo.
Really, though, what would that look like? What would slapping a single shield and a tech slot on an interceptor profile do except make a slightly more expensive interceptor or a slightly cheaper, weaker, defender?
