Rules says a talisman card can be left on a space and has to be treated as any adventure card. If it is left, can it be picked up by any who stumbles into this space? Can it be taken from a character instead of a life as a reward?

Yes to all. It is a Magic Object if you look at the card more carefully. Thereby it is governed in all game situations as such.

Yes, if you ditch a talisman, then a other character (someone who land on it) can pick it up.
(TIP:if you have already a talisman, then you can better sell it at the alchemist, instead of ditching it
If you win from a character, then you can also take the talisman from him instead of a life. ( Same as all objects)
