Defiantly looks fun, those reanimates will hit like a truck. Makes a hard choice on who to go after first, the archers will decimate any units in LOS, and the lancers will load up blights for the reanimates/Ardus to knock around the opponents heroes or golems.
I'm going to be putting out the 4x3 block with Ardus tomorrow.
The math on damage, re-rolls, and threat on that unit is just obscene.
Test rolling at home, it's capable of regularly spitting out 12-16 damage, and takes an incredible amount of punishment to reduce its re-roll capacity.
It is, however, extremely unwieldy on the table.
Choose your deployments and objectives wisely.
I can easily see this unit getting held up by terrain, especially on carefull aproach. Unprepared also won't be ideal if you are on the blue side, as i assume you will want to screen your archers with the carrion lancers.
As for objectives bounty is your best option. As for the others, I'm not sure. Confluence of magic is a good filler and escort and escort can be good or bad depending on deployment.
As for your army itself it looks very well rounded. It might do better against other large unit force than MSU armies but the archers will definitely be working to even things out.
I'm pretty skeptical of the effectiveness of big deathstars like this. Between terrain redeployment, chaff units redirecting charges, and especially blight tokens, it's going to be difficult to get consistent value out of them. Obviously they'll smash anything they touch, but I foresee frustration against a canny opponent.

Herein seems to lie the balance.
Big units are powerful, sure. They're also big targets, difficult to move, and can't enter terrain.
They can also hinder your deployment choices, if your opponent can stall deployment with smaller units.
My worry would be taking multiple charges at once. It may be hard to put enough blight into enough units to keep it from getting mulched if you make a positioning mistake.
Blight may work best as a distraction in this list. Get your opponent so worried about the archers and lancers that your big scary block gets to dictate combats.
I see this not as a list to play with any regularity, but rather to bring out every now and then as a surprise.
All concerns over the maxed-out unit are absolutely justified. I'd probably use the two lancers to protect the flank, but once the sledgehammer becomes engaged, you have to assume the flanks will be exploited.
But I gotta climb this mountain, just because it's there.
EDIT: Oh man, and imagine how vulnerable the sledgehammer is to morale tests as well! *shudder*

I didn't put this together until just now, that it is possible to have both Ardus and a Support Carrion Lancer in the same Reanimates... That's actually pretty crazy, heck of an expensive unit if lost.
Have to look up the rules, but what happens if yu can't deploy a unit in the deployment zone?
Then it isn't deployed and counts as lost.

Yes, but only if you can't make it touch the 6' edge. Which makes the elf deployment that much better against msu armies.
Unit and siege upgrade, wow, I would love to see this in a game
