Campaign Expansions and L5R LCG

By sndwurks, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

In the lieu of hypening, I actually read up on some other items today on the FFG website. I read up on this little gem, and it has me thinking:

I think expansions like this will be EXCELLENT for L5R LCG, whatever form it winds up taking. Imagine a Campaign Expansion for the Battle of Otosan Uchi during the Scorpion Clan Coup, where players can control the Lion, the Crab, the Unicorn, and the Scorpion. Or a Campaign Expansion for the Battle at Beiden Pass with Dragon, Ronin, and Crab. Aside from the Dynasty and chapter packs pushing a story forward, expansions like this would give FFG the narrative space to explore the permutations of the story, and allow for some fun, interactive play experiences.

Just some thoughts on today.

Yes, it would be cool to see expansions as this one for L5R.

I think we can trust FFG to give us more than just the chapter packs ans the deluxe boxes for a game like L5R. :)

I think if the Netrunner narrative focus box does well, we could see it in the other LCGs for sure. L5R and Game of thrones wouldlend themselves well to a story driven experience you would think.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here, I missed out on the Netrunner launch so I don't think I have been this excited since getting into board games!
