Store Champs start in a month and we don't even know yet what's in the kit?

Holdup is probably Worlds.

Store Champ Kits are supposed to have 2 copies of the World's Alt Art card for distribution....

... Of course, Stores are supposed to have them by Worlds... So they're probably late regardless.

Store championships are in the fall now ...

No, they aren't, they start in May. Fall/winter is the regionals season.

They start the week after Worlds.

I figured we would have had the announcement last week. Hopefully one will be coming soon. I work weekends so knowing which stores are having championships would be helpful so I can start finding out when they are holding them and ask for vacation.

I'm not sure of the source of this, but a few store tournament event pages are listing this as the preliminary prizes:

32 Copies of an alternate art card
8 x range 3 rulers
4 x range-1 and range 2-rulers
2 x printed acrylic Agent Kallus tokens
1 Regional tournament Bye
1 colour plaque
2 Copies of the World Championship alternate art card

On the off chance that's true I'm excited.

but yea I am more worried about them letting people know the dates. Would be nice to be able to plan to attend some. Coaching soccer usually means Saturdays are hard but I can get the early game if I let people know early enough... I'm sure others have similar obligations that some heads up would help.

In my area it's like pulling teeth to find a store champ date. And not all the listed stores actually have one.

Very strong suspicion that the Regional bye is handed off and the kit sold piecemeal on eBay

I do agree getting the dates out would be great right about now ..
