I.e. 2x ISD1, or 3x AFmk2. The ships don't have to be configured in exactly the same way.

I've seen good monochromatic fleets of CR-90 Corvettes.

This is my baby... we've been through a lot together.... (I guess my answer is Goazantis and ISD IIs)

Thematically: ISDs

Competitively: VSDs carriers

Recently: raiders... The SW Battlefront II trailer make me love this ship even more than I already love it.

Although I'm an Imperial Player, right now I love MC30 space shrimps

5 Nebs.

Honestly, I'd take Vics. Despite being jack-of-all-trades, they are very efficient with what they can do.

They have the reach and firepower to make them scary.
Enough shields and hull to make them barely last.
Weapons team and ordnance, or weapons team and 3 squad.

Take JJ and run Navs to make sure they stay in position. When flown well, Vics can be hard to take down. The only thing they are weak against is Admo unless you have APT and roll double hit/crit.

If you can hold formation, Neb B's are a blast!

Both CR90s and Arquintes are competitive, but are fragile.

ISDs, are great fun too.

Tough choice.

And honestly, given the scenario, you're not going to see the 4-5 MC30 player all that often - since they only have the one Admo and the one Foresight... And you can still have 4 Vics and a bomber Wing in comparison.

So, yeah, if eveyrone's under that restriction - I'll take ISDs or VSDs, playing Empire.... Although Triple-Dictors could also be interesting.

If everyone is under the same restriction, I'd be scared to take 3 Vics against 4 MC30s. MM+OE+APT+H9 melts Vics.

Triple-Dictors just for the EHB+FCTx3 murder you in the face round 1 with Rhymer fun.

I do love my Nose Punch list.

Are you a PC gamer too?

I made a Sloane variant of your list.

Single Interdictor with FC+EHB+FCT+Grav Well+Grav Shift. Move Interdictor to scoot Rhymer+Maarek+Jendon forward. Use Rhymer so Maarek can reach out and touch somebody. Hope for an Acc on first roll. Use his ability to change to crit, and then Sloane to reroll. Spend a token. Repeat with Jendon.

Strong possibility to strip a Brace or Scatter first round. And if they deploy in the Grav well, they have to choose to throw a Nav or Squad command to prevent the combo from working.

No  but the trailer is awesome!

Really, any Rebel non-flotilla small ship.

ISDs on the imp side.

It has to be the CR90. Cracken fleets composed either only of that ship or almost entirely of that ship have already done very well in tournaments.

If I could only take one and it was supposed to be competitive, it would be the corvette.

However, triple Interdictor for comedy value.

ISDs loaded with squads because it is just fun to do.

Mc30s because they are fast and also fun to fly circles around slower fleets.

In a perfect universe I'd love running fleets of similar-class ships with some sprinkled extras, like Gozantis or Raiders. Getting 3x VSDs to withstand a bunch of stuff is what I would like... pity MSUs and fighters keep tearing it apart or out-activating it.

3x Gladiators is probably what I would say competitively.

For me right now...

Imperials: Light Cruisers

Rebels: Corellian Corvettes

Both are just excellent at their job and very flexible. Also they're some of the only ships I own double of...

Imperial: Arquittens-class Command Cruisers

Rebel: MC80 Star Cruisers

Working on a triple Dictor list for our current CC game....

I've had a lot of fun with a Tarkin led Glad spam

Hm. For Rebels, I already run a 2xMC80 Command Cruiser fleet. So that is my personal first choice.

besides that...

3xMC80 Battle Cruisers

Fun: MC80 home ones =). Can you imagine a 3 MC80 list??

Competitively: MC30s are one of the best ships in the game. add some rogues for sq defense.

More options: AFs with Akbar, AFs with squadrons. Very very stable.

Sadly AFs are being power creeped out. They need a little something if they aren't being taken for these two options. As Ackbar frigates or as a squadron pusher.

Glads.

Carrier, Hero, Outright hard core ship

I kinda really want to see a triple interdictor rhymer ball flying circus for a 500 point fleet list.
