401 points

Is it just me, or is worse when you hit 401 when building for the Corellian Campaign (first round), than it is when you're building for standard play?

No wondering about it that's definitely the case. In standard play you could just drop something somewhere to make space. In the campaign, you won't have all the unique options and you don't have many options to drop upgrades from elsewhere because there's only one upgrade per ship.

Wait are you only allowed one upgrade per ship in the CC for the entire game? I thought it was just for the initial fleet setup phase before the campaign started and after you can buy as many as you can afford?

Only for the first campaign round, but that tends to be the round when many players are picking unique upgrades and you get locked into your choices. Also, unlike in subsequent rounds, leftover points from your initial 400 won't carry into the next rounds. So if you are a point over, you have to figure out a way to drop a less essential upgrade elsewhere or swap it to something you would have purchased anyway, and hope that nobody else suddenly chooses that unique title or officer that you maybe had to drop to fit everything.

I have decided to start with a 500 point list and work backwards. It helps to maximize my fleet and maybe I drop an upgrade to bump up my generic B-Wing to Ten Numb or whatever round 1. It's helped with this issue.
