We already have standard crew/partners being split up (example, when was the last time you saw Dash and Leebo together?), so that ship has sailed. E-Wings are suppose to use R7s, but that's not the type of Astromech I see on them the few times I come across them.
I can understand wanting Hera and Chopper together. It could work it out that he gives her a free action off of green maneuvers, which lines up with the R2-D2 precedence. There are plenty of ways to make a good combo between the two without changing Hera's ability.
I actually think the only greens option isn't bad. Match that up with something like PTL and vectored thrusters or engine upgrade, and she's got some nice options to be really reactive and slippery.

btw has there been any more news on the 'X-Wing fix' front? I remember back in 2015 Alex Davy said that IA was not 'the fix', and there would be more T-65 love 'when they got the oppertunity', but its been 2 years now.
Has he said anything more on this front since then?
I am pretty sure if any word of more X-wing love had slipped out it would be all over the forum in minutes.
Followed closely by calls to nerf the T65.
I mean I heard at worlds he said something about ships like the Kihraxz and Starviper and T-65 getting some more stuff, but have never been able to find a vod of the stream he said this in.
Speaking of X-Wings... since the T70 was built by Freitek-Incom... the T70 is unofficially the canon replacement for the E-Wing. I am now sad.

would need to see a source, because as far as I know they are still Legends....
the E-wing is still Legends only. though given how the creative staff for SW likes to mine Legends for ships to include in the new Canon, it might still show up eventually.\
there might be a bit of confusion for some people because there was a black E-wing like fighter as part of the Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles, a stealth ship one character (Jak-14) flew in the TV show (during the clone wars!). however the LEGO Star Wars shows are not canon.. in fact they don't even count as legends canon. the LEGO stuff (like the Yoda Chronicles, the Freemakers, etc) exist in their own continuity.
