Question. We were playing last night and had a huge discussion. One of the heros was focused while attacking. He wanted to use his surge results to focus himself again for the next activation. Many of us argued that wouldn't be fair because technically he was still focused and couldn't give himself the focused condition again until after his turn is over. Otherwise he would just basically stay focused over and over and over again. Help

Conditions are actually applied after the attack resolves. So you can get focused or hidden again.

The Focused condition is discarded after the attack resolves in the "core / mission rule timing", before the focus condition keyword gives the focused condition (if the target suffered damage from the attack).

Note the difference between the condition keywords (focus, hide, bleed, stun, weaken) and the conditions themselves (focused, hidden, bleeding, stunned, weakened).
