Vibro Blade attacking a character with body armour...which takes preference?

The unblockable of the vibro knife or the 'before' of the body armour.

I assume you're referring to the card Armor Plating?

In which case the 'before' timing has nothing to do with it. The rest of the text of Armor Plating literally uses the term BLOCK.

Which you cannot do to unblockable damage. So no, you cannot use it to stop the Vibroknife effect.

Page 15:

"Unblockable damage cannot be blocked by shields or card effects."

Seems pretty absolute to me, no blocking for you!!
