They are nearly three times taller than long, and have wide side projections. So they are at least GR75 sized.

Way too big to be bombers.

Yeah, I am not see that ratio, at all. Neither does a screengrab in photoshop.

And if you bothered to check twice before posting, you'll notice I revised my estimate. I'm trying to keep up on this stuff from a phone screen, revisions are going to be common.

There TIE that runs into the Neb B looking ship. The TIE is a big as what appears to be the cockpit of that (Neb B looking) ship.

So I too doubt it is a newer Frigate. Rather some kind of heavy assault fighter or heavy bomber. They are also slower than fighters so perhaps a standoff bomber platform.

Either way, you are wrong.

Assault ship or gunship, and they may be a bit faster when not, you know, holding the line. Maybe even a New Republic designed patrol ship like an oversized Firespray.

Guys, guys, let's not fight about the trailer to a movie that's over six months away!

And besides, you both suck anyway ;)

"You keep using that word. Somehow I do not think it means what you think it means"

Much bigger than that - I mean, ball turret on the rear of its base . If a human can easily fit into that, it defines a pretty clear set of ranges for its size.

This is obviously in the Hammerhead-corvette-ish sort-of-scale.

Did you look at the image I posted above? I feel like maybe you didn't.

Is the correct response: "yo mamma!"?

Either way, let's pretend I responded to your comment with a witty comment of my own.

Rey is a reincarnation of Anakin.

A Reyincarnation, if you will.

Same here. I took a ruler to the screen grab and compared the X-Wing and A-Wing to the ships nearest to them. With a few different measurements and some guestimating and averaging I came up with 25m long by 20m tall. Easily large base even if you assume significant errors.

And that T-70 is foreground to the closer ship, that cockpit area is at least the size of the command pod of the MC75 of rogue one.

The corret version, For those people who can't understand 'mis estimated due to tiny screen and then edited it 30 seconds later."

I am still betting that she is Han and Leia's kid. They hid her from her brother, much the same way they hid Luke from Vader.

Eh, but wouldn't Han and Leia make a bigger deal about her turning up? Leia didn't even really interact with Rey until the end.

Obviously she is the force ghost love child of Obi wan and Padme, making her Luke's half ghost sister and NOT a Skywalker.

Great...all the starfighters just look like new models of classic trilogy fighters. No actual new ships at all...

...so goddamn boring.

Almost impossible to tell anything about the movie based on such a short and vague trailer, so I will leave my analysis at: "I like space battles."

What an original story! - Seems legit.

But no, she isn't Luke's daughter. Otherwise, he has really bad memory to ask her "Who are you?"

They hadn't seen her in over a decade, and who knows if that was even the name they gave her. Also, she is the only person who doesn't have a last name (other than a storm trooper that made up his own name). That is foreshadowing for a big reveal. Not to mention that in the FA trailer Luke said that someone from the family has it, and he wasn't talking about Kylo.

Actually that can't be right.

The t70 in the foreground is slightly closer than the cockpit area of the nearest ship. It is about the same length as the conical part of the prow.

The ship is at least 10 cone lengths long. A t70 is 12.5 meters long by canon.

Which means these ships are at least 100-120 meters long, and similar height.

Agreed that she isn't Luke's kid. I think she was a student at the academy that they saved from her brother (because he couldn't kill her) and then hid away on a desert planet.

As far as original goes, look up the ring theory. There is a reason FA and ANH were so similar. I am betting there will be mirrors in TLJ too.

I'm going to guess this ship will have a 360 degree firing arc. This ball turret sure looks to be aimed forward.
