Soon... Soon I will own my first core set...
What do you think I should make and paint first?

But what first! Do I work on the bigger things first? The archers? The pretty horses?
I have never painted horses...
I would get the Reanimates out of the way because they were kind of miserable to put together

Were they? Why is that?
Some fiddly parts and a lot of mould lines. I had to cut down a lot of the male keyed pieces to fit in their respective slots.
My fingers are currently glued together
Don't be intimidated by painting horses! A couple of quick tips for them: don't choose shade and layer colors with as much contrast as you would for smaller surfaces. Thin your highlight layer with water so that it is more translucent and blends easily.
i must agree the waiqans are a pain to assemble. I can only say one thing...
BE CAREFUL WITH PRESSURE!!!
Wow i didnt expect them to be so flimsy. The plastic is soft enough to bend with almost no effort on your end because theyre skeletons so theyre uber thin. No issues with the Daqan side, other than my thumb hurts from pokey-shoulder-bits but thats typical assembly crap. Usually in these models im fearful of shortswords because theyre almost always the thinnest point and break the easiest, but not this time the swords are actually pretty robust, its the legs and arms that are literally just a bone thats the problem.
