My Waiqar 200 point list. Sadly this takes 3 cores to do similar centers without it is about 187 or so.

Here is the list I think that will be pretty good in use but this is with no experience.

you actually need 3 cores to do 200pts period, unless theres a way to field multiple of the heroes im not seeing. Waiqar hero is 37 which is over a third of the entire waiqar army.

Im...halfway tempted to go halvsies with my friend that decided to get a core - he gets my waiqs i get his daqs (god i dont like those names...). Save on one core box that way lol. But, i also want to demo this game at the store to try and get others into it so i need both sides ... fml

Actually, my Daqan list only used 2 Cores. It can get away with the Cavalry.

This list got tweaked actually.

You can get to 200 with Waiqar. Just need to keep reanimates to 2 units. Also you technically would want 4 rank disciplines. But that's something you should just say is okay. In a training game if you have 2 units of archers both having that upgrade and both costing the same. What's it matter if you only have 1 card.

I personally like having all of the cards. It helps with memory and I know that when I have a tournament I will have everything I need to play

I was messing around in Battle scribe and I got to 187 with only using units from 2 core sets. I might have used upgrades not out yet, though.

That is the best I could do as well. Too big of a bid though

I seriously doubt that the biggest version of the units are suitable to unexperienced people.

The risk is, that they could be doing nothing. It is likely that the enemy engages them with tough cheap stuff and keeps them for 2-3 turns immobilized till they can perform powerful flank charges.

However I want to see it working first before I take my conclusions.

Depends on what happens. With the core set I think small units rule the day and with the expansions bigger units become more valuable
