The Forgotten Armada Scenario:Take the Station!

By draco193, in Star Wars: Armada

Take The Station was released nearly a year ago now. I remember when it was released there was some significant interest but it seems to have faded quietly away. Our group now is a bit more stable in being able to all meet up so we can plan on giving it a whirl sometime in the near future.

Has anyone played it recently? Any house rules folks would suggest?

We played it a bunch at release, but because of the way Regionals / Nationals / Worlds / Regionals happened this year, it was straight on the back-burner.

But, I'm holding a Take the Station Tournament in a few weeks, once I can score an appropriate prize.

Still have yet to play it, looks very fun though

we have played this quite a lot when we not enough people turned up for our CC nights.

Have you found the scenario still works well after the new waves were all released? I'm quite excited to give it a shot. A whole different approach to strategy is always exciting.

We have played this a number of times as a mini tournament on our armada nights, always great fun. We have also played it as a team event as well as single player. Good fun all round.

what we found was that ISDs mess this up, unless the other players gang up on the isd it's just to hard for 150 point list to kill. Demo is also overpowered in this game. So we played with a simple no large ships and no Demo, this seamed to restore balance to the force.

it was alot of fun when I played. keep msu lists apart from a star destroyer though

Yea, Demo sort of ruined this scenario for us, and ISDs and MC80s were an immediate "okay, we all have to kill that guy sort of scenario, which was kind of weird and not very fun.
